MEET THE STAFF: Michael + Five Things

Our amazing new store manager Michael has been running around working his magic and giving our Soho shop a makeover since the first day he arrived. And now that the floor is looking better than ever (and maybe after consuming a few glasses of wine), he's sharing a few of his favorite things.

Shhh... Don't tell the other brands, but Swedish design house Hope is undoubtedly one of favorite brands here at Flying A. Their slightly avant-garde pieces are often unexpected yet totally wearable. And we love them even more for their interest in socially conscious clothing. Get the background story on how they got their start with utilitarian outerwear in the video above.

JUST IN: Becksondergaard S/S 2012

We've long been fans of Copenhagen-based line Becksondergaard for their fanciful yet wearable designs and Scandinavian aesthetic. Their S/S 2012 campaign featuring the adorable Danish actress Sara Hjort Ditlevsen demonstrates the brand's charm, and let's face it, we're totally in love. (We would also like to figure out how to pull off head accessories as well as she does.)

The brand is known for their uh-mazing scarves featuring whimsical prints and hand-drawn illustrations. And that's not it. We've just received a shipment of their mini convertible bags in buttery soft leather. Seriously. We're talking melt in your hands soft. They'll be up on the website really soon, so check back! Or you lucky New Yorkers can pick them up at our Soho store.
